wah, im a wee depressed at the moment. no no, im over the kristin kreuk incident…this is bike related. this was going to be the last biking season i rode my giant warp, since i fig’d it was time to upgrade to a better (and preferably lighter) frame. so i had my eyes set on one of the specialized enduros. full-susp, multi-terrain ride, and a rockin’ design. i was waiting for the 2005 enduro preview to pop up on the specialized website, but they were taking motherfucking forever, so i googled it instead. and holy shit was it a sad sight. it turns out that specialized redesigned the entire enduro frame for 2005, tossing aside the coo freeride-ish design i liked so much in favor of this weird looking bumpy, unelegant mess. ok, i realize everything was probably done for a reason, and the frames probably better in almost all regards in terms of riding and ish…but i dont care. i wanted a coo looking frame yo, and this 2005 model wont be doing it for me. bugger, i might have to push up my purchase date to grab a 2004 before theyre all gone…or ebay a frame or something and build it up. i suppose i wouldnt really mind building up a new bike. specialized…or maybe foes racing, mountain cycle, or whatnot. wait, let me check my ass for a sec. nope, no money flying out…damnit.

whah?! They did what?! Dude that blows! The Enduros had one of the best looking frames at any price point. Must have changed the frame to cut production cost down, those monocoque frames can get expensive to make. Sad really.
The Foes FXR is a hot frame, but I have to say not much of a fan of the Mountain Cycle frames…
And since we are both dreaming maybe an Intense, Elseworth, Turner or Santa Cruz frame?
sigh…yea, ive decided to go trek down an ’04 enduro when the ’05’s come in…try and cut a deal. the ’05 looks like the demo 9 now, and the demo 9 was one ugly mf.
ive been eyeballing the mc fury and the foes fly and fxr. theyre just a weeee out of my price range tho. the top dude at my studio rides a custom-sized ellsworth…shit was 6k. oochies…
Yeah those Ellsworth are pricey, but damn they are so nice. There’s something to be said about building a bike up from a custom frame. I dropped a lot of money building up my Evil – Imperial, and I’m still paying it off. But damn every time I ride it, it makes it all worth it 🙂
Wow, the 2005 looks really funky. I’m sure this will turn out ok – you’ll be able to find a 2004 for a good deal since the models are changing significantly.
