apparently peter jackson’s an anime fan. who knew? jk…but according to this article from aicn, hideaki anno, the creator of evangelion, is teaming with adv films and peter jackson’s weta workshop to create a live action film of evangelion. while this initially sounds really coo (and ill reserve my judgement til it actually comes out and i see it) im gonna go into this a little skeptical. live action remakes of anime…or anything of that nature (read: mortal kombat) have always been a little suspect. on top of that, the storyline isnt the most digestible by any account. ah well…mebbe it’ll turn out to be a masterpiece. then it can be featured back-to-back with the forthcoming live-action dragonball z.
