ouch. todays biking excursion killed me. last weekends girly sissy biking gran turismo was a warm-up. no real challenge except for ppl-dodging. so today i decided to take the 6 mile loop around central park…complete with the hills of the northwest quadrant (i believe its called cardiac hill…super). keep in mind im riding a full suspension down-hiller…with big stonkin’ 2.4″ tires. i usually ride around in gear 8…but on the hills…ouch. ok…7? ouch. 6? getting there…no wait, ouch. anyhoo, after i finally make it thru the hills and cruise down the first slope, i crash to the side and hyper-ventilate for about 15 minutes. its great. after re-couping, and then buying a popsicle, i bike on. i head over to the west side highway…and was originally planning to loop down around battery park. but reality sets in and i call it a day once i hit 14th st. whew.
anyhoo…its easter sunday right? woo. that would explain the little kids with baskets wandering around me while i was hyper-ventilating on the side of the road. so in honor of easter, here is the inimitable kozy-n-dan. masters of bunny-art.

my sis has jus informed me that my baby celica, which i left in nj when i moved into nyc, is on its deathbed. my sis and her bf were driving it this past weekend b/c the headlights on her civic were busted. as she was driving to her friends wedding (she was the maid of honor), it decided to stall a number of times. when theyre within 5 minutes of the reception, the car decides to start smoking. bleh. by the time it coasted into the driveway, it poo’d and died. as shes telling me this, im thinking to myself…ok, i drove my baby for 18+ months and it drove nearly flawlessly. no problems, nada, nien. but the second she touches it? it dies. this isnt the first time something like this has happened. whenever she used to touch my computer, it went nuts. when i left anything in her care, i usually got it back decidedly crappier. when she touched anything, the forces of chance and probability shat itself and its likelihood to die increased. mebbe thats why her email acct is doublejinx. grr.
