i had written a post on this particular ny times article from today about the patrick henry college, a college founded specifically for evangelical home-schooled christians. and it was pretty lengthy in pointing out the various aspects of the college and its politcal and religious aspirations that bothered me. but since its readily apparent my views on christianity, evangelists, and organized religion in general…i thought the post to be quite boring and repetitive. religious rants can be only so creative before it all starts to sound the same…*sigh*. so i erased it, and instead ill just write this lengthy thoreau-esque stream-of-consciousness/blatant run-on sentence.
bush’s white house currently has 100 interns 7 of which are from the patrick henry college bush is a twit evangelists are scary the college is a breeding ground for right-wing evangelists with political motivations thats even more scary than just being an evangelist fundamentalists scare me that is all.
and if you have the time, take a look at the mission statement of the patrick henry college. “biblical values” scare me…and their lengthy references to the scripture scare me too. the last time i read from the bible was right before i tossed aside my deficient baptist beliefs…

The bible gives me gas too
yeh! i saw this article, too! do you think phc would teach creationism – and believe it? that women are evil and barren because they are hobags? that people really did live for 92837912873 years? it’ll be like 1925 in dayton, with scopes again.
from mission statement:
“train Christian men and women who will lead our nation and shape our culture with timeless biblical values and fidelity to the spirit of the American founding”
…whoa. like lil g-dubya seedlings for the new millenium. ::shudder::
btw: who are you voting for? kucinich makes me smile. he’s like an elf. not a LOTR elf. more like a keebler elf. that’s cool.
shit, this is long.
the bugger looks like hes trying to squeeze another kid out…
holy shit, just the other day i swear i was having the exact same thoughts about kucinich. i was thinking, “gosh, why do i have overwhelming urges to eat chips deluxe whenever i see him?” and im generally an apolitical person. i tend my thoughts towards other things. but ive never disliked someone as much as i do bush. they could nominate an inanimate sponge against bush and id still vote for the sponge.
