im beginning to get the impression that my mind treats my dreams more substantially than id like it to. i had a dream last nite (that i can vaguely recall) and when i woke up this morning, i felt as if id been up all nite. thats super. it was one of those subconscious-yearnings type dreams. me and fish were in his new subaru outback ready to go on a long roadtrip. yea, dont make it too literal, ye bastards. he was a bit wary to let me drive because i hadnt driven in a while, and that the car was a little too small for me. when i got into the drivers seat, my knees kept banging against the steering wheel and i had to slide the seat all the way back til it touched the back row. right then. thats all the dream was about i think…we mightve also made a grays run and scarfed down hot dogs and pina colada. i think its time i started traveling again.
i was walking thru tompkins square park this morning on my way to the bus stop, and there were camera crews all around the northern end. i wanted to ask someone what they were shooting, but everyone was too busy looking busy. mebbe it was spider-man 2…or sex and the city. wait…sex and the city wouldnt be caught dead in alphabet city. i always get mildly excited seeing camera crews around the city. its probably b/c i secretly want to be involved…the personal assistant of a hot actress, or the guy who fetches donuts for everybody. my friend aggie got to be on the set of a number of films (she attended film festivals too) including kill bill (she talked to tarantino), hero (met chris doyle…whos a lush), and a number of wong kar wai movies (arrghh!!!). i was just a little envious. ive so far only seen sex and the city in central park (whup-deedoo), spider-man 2 down at the anthology, a few nbc commercial shoots (with 6 women in each of the 6 colors of the peacock on a rotating platform), and law & order: svu, who were shooting a scene outside of our office/factory (ice-t was eating in the deli downstairs. go east williamsburg!)
now i need an image. need an image….
maybe they were filming one of the law and orders. or maybe nypd blue’s outdoor scenes. next time, you should look at the no parking signs for some info.
i looked for the no parking signs…there actually werent any…
