last days in e.vil

mmm…my days in e.vil are numbered. my new apartment is moving along at the moment, and our lease is up at the end of june. so…we’re all heading oot. fonz is moving down the street sunday, and its back to the burbs for me til my apartments ready…ack! i havent lived with my parents since i first graduated college…thats gonna be interesting. and when i say “interesting”, i mean fuck, hurry up with the apartment. and as a friend pointed out to me, this is probably the last time ill live in e.vil for the foreseeable future. unless e.vil real estate prices miraculously drop, or i become filthy rich. yea. so…bai bai e.vil. bai bai alphabet city…its been a fun 5 years (+1 at the 13th street apartment).

so ive been packing all week long. i have alot of shit. why do i have alot of shit? hmm…doesnt matter, im tossing alot of it before i move. but before i get to that, ill backtrack (again) to a few weeks ago.

was it last wednesday? i think it was…last wednesday i met up with di and her roommate rebecca for some italian (via japanese) at dieci. i still like that place alot…cozey, good food, and chill atmosphere.

friday was drinkies at ace bar for mk’s “i got a dwi and im losing my license!” drink-a-thon. skee-ball and big buck hunter all around.

saturday what did i do? hmm…nothing really. i picked up some packing boxes and a new router/wireless receiver, because ill be damned if i dont have internet in my room at my parents place.

sunday was supposed to be biking with g, except it was raining. so i took my bike back upstairs, came down, and saw the rain stop in front of my eyes. fuck you mother nature! whatever, biking got appended to just brunch with g+r up in harlem. hey, its my future neighborhood…i should take in the sights. after brunch, we just chilled at their apartment watching lara croft mst2k style.

this week…pack pack pack. and tossing shit out. fresh start yo.

wednesday was din with karen at um…this malay restaurant on 17th near union square. cant remember the name, and cant find it listed anywhere (must be new), but it was pretty good. we chilled out at 71 irving afterwards…mmmm.

and thursday was our own little bbq-fest at hill country with steph, ky, dano, and yoko…woot. tons of of briskets, ribs, beer, and more beer. it was good.
