merrr…another long double-week recap, because i couldnt have been bothered with this last week. and hell, we’re into december now already. holiday season…hooray!
BONE LICK
two mondays ago, the week leading up to thanksgiving that is, i took the two amsterdam-ians andy and kjoep oot and aboot for some bbq at bone lick park. the rest of the week looked booked, and they were leaving after thanksgiving, so it was now or never. andy and i got there earlier, and we ordered way beyond our means (damn those fucking onion rings), and barely put a dent in our pulled pork entrees. we had no problem pounding down the beers tho…hmm.

tuesday was sake samplers and food at en with g+r after work…woot. and not only was the sake and sushi yum, but r brought me a plate of pre-prepared eggplant parm too (just because she could). woot! now i know what im having over the long weekend…
DIABLO ROYALE
wednesday was andy and kjoeps last (work) day, so we took them oot for some drinks and tacos at diablo royale. tacos and drinks dont sound expensive by itself, but somehow the tab came out to be like $60 a person. i was like…wtf mate! the place emptied out my wallet. sad face.
THANKSGIVING
thanksgiving this year was at my sisters new oversized suburban abode. getting there was crazy…penn station was massively packed and full of dickheads pushing and shoving the second gates were announced. they were even shoving this group of elderly women in front of me. not very nice.
an hour train ride later, i got to my sis’ place with the rest of the new extended clan. mom, dad, his mom and his dad, aunt sharon, and aunt sharons friends. it was a pretty nice and big gathering, but we had enough food to feed double that…oops. we ended up barely putting a dent in the food. on the bright-side tho, i carved up the turkey all nice and purty…woot me. it was an early thanksgiving dinner too, since the ‘rents didnt like driving late at night, and i wanted to scootch back to manhattan to start my doing nothings.
THANKSGIVING WEEKEND
i did a bit of roaming black friday, just to see if there was anything worth getting…which turned out to be no, nothing worth getting. i did make my way to the new muji store in soho tho. that was coo. i got myself a new scarf and sweater, then went home and marinated watching superbad.
i met up with sean, anna, and sally saturday nite in k-town because we were craving bbq. kun jip was packed, so we went to that other one instead…er, the one next to the korea bank. i can never remember the name of the place…*shrug*. we had some pinkberry for dessert, then beer at this second floor korean sports bar. wow, i never knew they existed!
WEEKEND FOODAGE
so now that we’re caught up to this week, im just going to breeze right thru the rest of this post because im pooped. lets see, i watched some of my new dvds…ratatouille, superbad, harry potter and the ootp, flight of the conchords, i met up with di thursday for some catching-up foodage at oh taisho and then angels share, and then din again with di saturday at supper followed by sake at decibel. woots
