aw, the holiday season is over. sad face. =( its the year 2008 now. hmm, doesnt feel much different than 2007. i think if i was the blogger i was approximately 3 years ago, i might bother with a thoughtful 2007 retrospective…but, naaah. it sounds like too much effort. 2008 should be alot of fun though. lots to look forward to…woots.
we had our mini-reunion/chocolate hunt saturday morning. i met up with hosan at city bakery for some brunch and a bit of chocolate tasting (in my case…in the form of a mocha). a third person joined us on our hunt too…steph! who i hadnt seen since high school. apparently shes been roaming the world, and is now squatting in the hague, netherlands. h’ok then…coo beans. we spent a bit too much time at city bakery and had to kind of huff it to jacques torres because we were also going to catch sweeney todd later that day. and speaking of which…sweeney todd, really bloody. like wow, graphic, but good, but graphic. i squirmed alot.
the rest of the weekend was bleh, so we’ll just move onto monday. hey, i worked on monday (ha!), so k…fast forward some more to monday nite and the new years party! i joined g, g’s sis, and her friend at a new years party at their friends place on astor place. their penthouse was wow. like, wow….i need some of that goodness. so their pad was pretty nice, the food was good, the liquor free-flowing. and then hey, its 2008! yay to us! now what?
