okily…weekend continued. after my super-fun walk around manhattan, i bummed around my apt and cooked myself din. met up with marisol and terence later for drinkies at double happiness. nice and relaxing…and their gimlets are pretty damn good. we left around 1ish b/c i had to get up early and marisol had to work the next day (blech!). so this morning i get up around 9ish and make my way over to newark. me and fish were gonna make our way into pennsylvania for some kayaking. wooha! as we were headed along the roads towards the starting station, we saw alot of ppl on the water. it was a pretty coo day to be on the river. we went on the 10 mile course from pond eddy to matamoras. this is supposedly a 4.5 hour ride…but we actually tore thru it in a little over 2 hours…that even includes the half hour we spent relaxing on some rocks eating lunch. the whole time we’re baking nicely in the blazing sun…i think i toasted pretty nicely. im this nice shade of red right now…woo! anyhoo…after this trip we thought that we should start looking for more advanced runs. pond eddy was supposed to be advanced, even tho the rapids are rated 2…so we’re prolly gonna go hunt down level 4 rapids. afterwards we grabbed coffee and chess at this nearby coffee shop called 7th street coffee. they had a nice deck with umbrellas and benches…really coo. i got my ass kicked per usual. *shrug* we headed back to jersey and caught din at panera’s, where i got my ass kicked in chess again. fuck.
