4th of july weekend recap
last day of my mini-vacation. phoo. well…im pretty rested, so i suppose i wouldnt mind going back to work and the such. my new swishy sofa arrived thursday. i took the whole day off jus to be at my apt when it arrived. usually im peeved that deliveries happen at the most inopportune time, but this time they call me and tell me theyll deliver it sometime between 7 and 9…am. im like…u mean pm right? theyre like, nope…am. cripes. so i wake up at 7am and sit around in bed til i get the call from the doorman around 8ish. woohoo. after it was delivered, i doted around the apt for a while b4 heading out to pick up more apt kibble. met up with marisol and paulie later that nite for some drinks at the boxcar lounge…which happens to be around the corner from me now. woo! they were headed up to cornell for the weekend, and i was headed to jersey, so it was our pre-weekend-outing drink fest. we even got to sit out in their garden. sweet.
saturday i headed back to jersey. port authority was crazy…i actually missed my bus b/c they rearranged the gates for the weekend and there were a shitload of ppl in line getting tix and stuff. anyhoo, when i get back, my ‘rents pick me up and we head straight for the hunan noodle house. taiwanese beef noodle soup….yum. i jus doted around the house the rest of the day. havent watched tv in ages. sunday i meet up with fish for lunch and some chess at panera’s. i got a frontega chicken panino and a chicken noodle soup…with a side of coffee frap snuck in from starbucks. fish beat me stupid the first chess match and we drew the second game. i blew a big lead the second game, but didnt fuck up too much afterwards. damn. tomorrow/today’s sunday…time to find me some storage thingies for my closet.
