woo…old school techno. ok, not really old school techno in the veins of kraftwerk or derrick may, but still…dig the wipeout 2097 video. ahem, tangent. brand-spanking new from the labs at canon…the eos rebel digital! baby-bro to the badass 10d, digital slrs have finally approached the semi-affordable range of sub-1k…holy shit. the rebel apparently has alot of the same functions as the 10d, as well as the same cmos sensor…so its sporting 6.3 megapixels too. im not a professional photographer…and i hate the limited functions/lens of consumer and prosumer levels. so this fits me jus right…as soon as i can scrounge together…um, $1k. *cough christmas present*

its apparent that when theres nothing to write about, i jus scour the internet for interesting articles, right? well whats wrong with that? im groggy today, k? so its hard for my mind to execute any kind of complex mental capacities. well, actually…not true, since i was going to point out this interesting article about parallel universes. – article – (which if u think about it isnt really that complex…) scientists postulate that given the (apparently) infinite nature of the universe, in the simplest cosmological model, your exact duplicate should exist 10~10th~28th meters from where ur currently sitting. wait…what was that? i jus got a m3ntal reading from my doppelganger in the universe one over that he has indeed jus picked his nose, whereas i merely scratched mine. dude, dont pick ur nose in public….thats not right. probabilities…probabilities.

ah…time to retire the ole v60. my motos been thru too much in its 18 month lifespan. it got dropped…dropped again…dropped down a flight of concrete steps…dropped again…and then drenched by a bunch of punkasses next to an open hydrant. little buggers. if it werent for the fact that its shell was anodized aluminum, there’d prolly be a few pieces missing right now. anyhoo…i think that last incident with the punkasses killed the mic, so ppl were having trouble hearing me. combined with the fact that ive wanted gsm for some time (and those sim cards!)…and that the legislation to let u keep ur cell phone numbers thru different carriers was taking too long…i jus went ahead and signed up for t-mobile. there were basically only 2 phones currently out that i was interested in (the siemens was taking too long also…sigh)…the samsung v205 and the sony/ericsson t610 (sorry greg!) the place i went to didnt have the sony/ericsson…so woo, now i have a samsung. and it takes pictures too. woooo. the only downside is that its not nearly as swish as the v60 with its shexy shexy aluminum.

mmm….donuts

current selection | derek dahlarge – shades of rhythm

good god…the rahxephon movie will be out in japan in april. damn this whole time…thing, and…the waiting…thing. argh.

on a complete tangent….anyone whos fascinated with theoretical cosmology should read this. who’da thought…homer simpson was right. the universe is all abt donuts. according to the article, cosmologists are theorizing that the universe may be a finite space encapsulated in a 3-torus…a donut shape wrapped 3-dimensionally. which, beyond what the article discusses, fascinates me infinitely. its essentially defining our existence within a geometry. albeit a “geometry” beyond the normal conventions. but its still a finite space. which begs to ask…what if one were able to tear thru the fabric of our universe? what “exists” outside of our definable space? chaotic energies? the boundaries of another defined existence? monkeys playing jai alai? one wonders. the article also goes on to discuss relevant topics, like the string theory and such. 10-dimensions….submicroscopic dimensional loops…rock. if i were smarter, id want to be an astrophysicist.

death from above

shitty domestic cars, confused cell phone carriers, frats, and george w. bush…its not always easy to be “american”. but then america gives us this occasionally. a giant flying laser. how cool is that? in 1999, i was always wondering whether silver space suits, flying cars, and photon torpedoes would make it to us in time for 2000. i was pretty let down when i was still wearing t’s and jncos january 1st. but jus when u think the future cant get here any faster, bus-sized lasers mounted inside military 747’s come along to assure u that we are indeed in the 21st century. this, coupled with that invisibility cloak, makes me happy i wasnt raised in the dark ages. like the 60’s or something.

new ways to be a voyeur

remember motoko in ghost in the shell and her camo-skin? how she could jus disappear thru optical illusions? guess what? its reality now! woo! leave it to those crazy japanese to come up with shit worth deeming “cool“. a scientist in japan is developing a camouflage coat that renders its wearer invisible. yea…u heard right. right now it seems to be in its early development. but shit, that is some coo shit. shittin’ shit shit, i use ‘shit’ alot. hanker over to ananova for the dilly-yo.
