i have to say…i didnt pay too much attention to the upcoming keanu reeves movie constantine (based off the dc comics hellblazer). partly because i wasnt too familiar with the comics, but mostly because of well, keanu reeves. but after checking out the new trailer, i think im starting to take an interest. not that it shouldnt have already been obvious that id take a shine to the hellblazer mythology (i have this thing for all things angels, demons, divine wars, etc…). i also quite like the feel of the movie, the subtle images of the supernatural. reading thru information and excerpts from the original hellblazer however, i do think that keanu reeves might be the wrong constantine. hes not snarky, not wise-assed, and um…not from liverpool. trailers still coo tho.
Its looking better than it was in the first trailer, and smartass Shia Lebouf is in so maybe ;).

Why tf’s Keanu the poster boy for all cool, noirish, Matrixy (scifi?) movies is beyond me. I’m always saying “it should be an Asian dude” but apparently Hollywood thinks otherwise. I’m just thankful he’s not in Sin City.

i dont even really look at keanu and think “mixed asian dude”. its more along the lines of “wyld stalyns!”
