wired posted their 2004 rave awards today…the 20 people that are innovating, aspiring, and generally butt-kicking their way thru everything. the 20 range from movie-makers, businessmen, scientists, and even the flaming lips…woo. notables on the list (in my mind anyway) include peter jackson for the rocking lord of the rings trilogy, zaha hadid and her evocative architecture, david byrne and his powerpoint multimedia, and the aforementioned flaming lips…who sang my theme song in high school. other people on the list worth noting include mike lazzo of cartoon network, the senior vp who created space ghost coast to coast and pioneered adult swim. and sigi moeslinger and masamichi udagawa of antenna, who create superlicious industrial designs and multimedia installations.

So was your theme song “Vaseline?” ’cause that would be lube-tastic!
