i made one of those “no kidding?” discoveries today through a series of links and redirections. there was a ny times article today on the proliferation of professional blogs, in particular nick dentons gawker group of gawker, gizmodo, fleshbot, etc. so while perusing gothamist today, there was of course an entry on the aforementioned ny times article. there was also a brief mention about a fleshbot launch party and the hungarian cartel. so im thinking to myself…ooh, hungarian cartel…and i follow the link to a photo gallery at bluejake of the recent fleshbot party. some of the pictures piqued my interest, specifically the ones of an indoor suspension bridge. im thinking to myself, gosh…that looks familiar. ive seen that before. now do you remember how i mentioned watching people pull up across the street from my building and heading into the swish townhouse while waiting for my party to start? hmm…yes…*bling!* apparently the well-off neighbor across from my apt building with the four-story townhouse decked with swish furnishings that ive always wondered about whenever i walk home everyday…is none other than nick denton, the founder of gawker media. how odd is that? and now i know…
