is this one of those artsy-fartsy poetic shots? 🙂 doesn’t matter, i like it, it’s a good photo on the theme “body”.
theres this particular methodology that people use to make their images look “artsy” or “contemplative”…close cropping, heavy contrast, their subject matter looking pensively off to the distance. ive done it alot too…so i was hoping this didnt fall into those trappings.

halo — your b+w photography really is b+w. not a fan of grey eh? heh. i like the directly above angle, has this feeling omnipotence. plus, its nicely composed.
i wonder how it would be if you let some of the middle exposure range come through in certain places (but not others). specifically, the hair or the body might be coo.
the whole series (it was part of a series of 9) utilized higher contrast filters…so nope, no grays. just black and white…and fuschia. no wait, theres no fuschia.
I’ve just been working my way through the Photo Friday ‘Body’ images (it came up befor I started participating) and came across your shot – which I think is excellent … great composition, and I really like the heavy contrast (and no, it’s not artsy-fartsy 😉
