new potter casting
hmm, its been a while since i made any kind of movie post. there just hasnt been much to get me excited enough to bother mentioning it…so…ah well. this tho, this is cool news. im still in potter mode, since the movies have yet to let me down. so this bit of news recentlys pretty cool, a run-down of some of the newly cast members for the next potter movie, order of the phoenix. this includes luna lovegood, ms. umbridge, tonks, bellatrix, and mrs. figgs. coo stuff. the pic they have of luna is also pretty interesting…very fitting, tho a wee creepier looking than i imagined. good stuff…woo potter!

woot, the new da vinci code trailer is here. directed by ron howard, it stars forrest gump, amelie (looking cute as ever), magneto, and doctor octopus!
x3, halo, and king kong
wah…lunchtimes almost up, so quick run-thru of link-worthys (2 things actually).
one, some new x3 images, including shots of the beast and angel. ooooh. i have to say tho, kelsey grammar as the beast…weeeird. i was hoping more for an “ultimates” look and less “im a hairy blue human” to be honest. ah well.
and two, looks like guillermo del toro’s in the running to helm halo. woot! i think he’d do a pretty good job if given the chance…it could very well be his break-out vehicle. hellboy couldve been, but i guess not as many took to it as he’d hoped. anyhoo…lunch is over.
UPDATE
the first king kong review ive seen is up on ign. bottom line, too much of everything (including length), but still plenty of mind-blowing moments. so i suppose its good balanced with the overdone. hmm…
oh, and the new x3 teaser trailers finally up. lotsa new imagery and schtuff…dunno what to make of it since its kinda vague. i was personally hoping to see sentinels or something, but i guess not. just a dude with wings, the blue furry fuck, and jean grey getting all phoenix-y. im crossing my fingers for ya, ratner…i really am.

drinking and alot of nothing else
mmm…k, its tuesday already. monday kinda became a speedbump. not that im not already getting used to this. i didnt really feel like doing much this weekend, so most of the weekend was spent relaxing at home. i did go out saturday nite tho…din at oh! taisho with hanalei and company, then drinky drinks at white rabbit (weird asian crowd there that nite), then morrissey park (formerly known as openair), then a bite to eat at crif dog before splitting off for home. wooooty.
ON-DEMAND MARATHON
other random things i did this weekend. aka: what did i lay in bed and watch this weekend? i finally caught oceans twelve (thank you on-demand) laaaaazy….c’mon soderbergh, that movies just lazy. its less a movie and more a home video of the twelve of them vacationing in europe. suckage. then i watched meet the fockers, which was funny, just not as funny as the first one. hmm…what else did i lay in bed for? ah right, i finished up firefly (fonz got the box set). good times. i wonder why nobody ever made a passing comparison of firefly to cowboy bebop? not that it diminishes from eithers goodness, but c’mon, there are some pretty obvious similarities. anyhoo, this fridays harry potter and the goblet of fire…woo!!! well, 3/4ths of a woo anyway. for some reason, loews 34th got rid of premium seats (i think). i didnt see premium seats listed anywhere on fandango, and the people i called at the theater didnt know what the hell i was referring to. *sigh*…i guess well be waiting in line with the rest of the commoners…

oh…and hey, want to see one of the crappiest new trailers out? the new bloodrayne trailer is out, and shit it looks awful. its on par with a tv movie, but actually even worse. whats even more painful is seeing all the great actors and actresses who for some unexplained reason decided to sign onto this pain train. seriously, wtf were you people thinking? didnt you see uwe boll’s name attached? that shouldve been your first indication. meh…well check it out. its funny shit.

just a quickie for today…times a bit of a commodity these days. new king kong trailer was just released…rock! alot of wootage and crazy visuals. and be sure to check it out in the super hi-res hd version…word.

GOBLET OF FIRE
first review of harry potter and the goblet of fire…yay! this particular viewer was pretty meticulous with his breakdown of the movie…but overall liked it and stated to be the best of the 4 potter movies. word.
UNDERWORLD
and this ones unexpected (or forgotten). a new trailer for underworld evolution. i liked and hated the first underworld. coo ideas and designs, shitty plot, characters, acting, etc etc. theres like a world of coo trapped underneath the surface, and hey…maybe the sequel will bring it up. who knows…at least bill nighys still in the sequel (even tho he died in the first one).

oh right…two coo movie bits. the first is a new narnia trailer from moviefone. lotsa new things to see, etc. but im not sure if its just me…but im still not overly excited about anything i see. maybe if id read the book, id be more excited. or maybe not…who knows. nothings setting my shorts on fire.
POTTER
two new things for potter tho…and these are pretty damn coo. the first is a uk tv spot thats essentially all new footage. word. and the second is a clip from the movie (via extra) thats pretty fucking funny. mad -eye moody vs. malfoy. less than a month to go…yar!
