biking to dumbo
[ audio selection | the killers – mr. bright side ]
are the killers like the new modest mouse or something? *shrug*…cant keep up. i decided to try biking to work yesterday morning. i wanted to see how biking down to chinatown and over the manhattan bridge fared against the celebrated bus/F train combo of 25-30 minutes. turns out its just about the same time…25 minutes. tho that does take into account me overshooting the entrance to the manhattan bridge in chinatown and having to double-back over to bowery. and i still made it to the office before everybody else, and got myself a nice iced mocha as a reward. ya did good, boy…ya did good.
last nite was also the weekly wings nite at croxleys. just an fyi. cuz…you know, i tossed a few pics from croxleys in for shits and giggles…

FRIDAY
right…friday i sat on my bed munching on multi-grain cheerios and watching movies. great way to start a post, right? well…i thought so, so bugger you.
SATURDAY
saturday was…what was saturday? oh righty-o, fish came into the city to meet up with me, marisol, and kev, and we all headed to the amc empire 25 to catch donnie darko: the directors cut. the movie inserted alot of elements from the website (excerpts from the philosophy of time travel, etc…). it rocked so hard it hurt. marisol and kev headed off afterwards, and me and fish grabbed din at danal…munching on really good country french food. fish headed back to jersey afterwards and i trekked out to greenpoint, brooklyn for tiens open house party. met necia and adam the slice guy on the G train…and after grabbing some extra liquor just outside the stop, we trotted along to tiens obnoxiously big apartment. drinky drink, chilled, watched spike jonze and michel gondry videos all nite. word.
SUNDAY
met up with necia and christiona for brunch at the clinton st. baking co. & restaurant. ordered ginormous french toast with pecans, strawberries, and butter syrup. yummy yum. after brunch, we strolled around the east village, browsing the farmers market along avenue A and then looking for a flower nursery on bowery that didnt exist anymore. super. after christiona and necia headed off, i met up with jackie to watch the bourne supremacy at the loews village vii. aside from some shakey nausea-inducing camera work and fast-cutting editing, the movie rocked. really tight and frenetic. we ate sashimi at ginger afterwards, and then i went home to work out at the gym til my arms threatened to fall off.
