home on a friday nite…feh. feh…..feh. plans to go back to jersey were kinda snuffed when my sis informed me that our parents werent even going to be around come lunchtime saturday….theyll be in flushing doing their thang. er.

tomorrows weather looks spotty. but seems like theres pockets of clear skies…so ill prolly try and get some biking in b4 the new york/tokyo film fest. woo. tomorrows the nakano/ishii session and sunday will be anime and hideaki annos first live movie…love + pop. in the meantime tho…im bored. nets are getting spanked behind me…*shrug* at least the devils already won.

did i ever mention my utter dislike of trade shows? my company has a booth at the buildings ny show currently at the javits center…and i was made to attend at the last sec yesterday. there werent as many ppl attending as there normally is, but alot of ppl did stop by our booth yesterday. and they all asked the same question…what is it? (in reference to the booth). a few of the answers we responded with:

-its a booth…
-its a physical representation of our fabrication capabilities…
-its a physical representation of a kidney bean…
-its an mri for really fat ppl…
-the second-hand airplane store was having a sale…
-your mom…

we said that last one in our minds…

after the show, i headed back home to prep for biking. then i realized my ass still hurt from the two prior biking excursions, so i decided to stay put. jane was in town for a few days…and we had planned for a late late din, so i sat around snacking on red bean cake snacks. she calls at 10:30 and we meet up to find late din in k-town. by then its already 11ish, but we go ahead and order up some mandoo gui and ojingoh bokum. yum. jane had to get up super-early the next day…so we finished up and she took a taxi back to her hotel. poor jane…poor poor jane.

woo. woo. woooo…i have a new apartment. rock. me and fonz jus signed our lease today for our new apartment in alphabet city. will be hauling all….um, 3 pieces of my furniture over in july. rockin’ open-house party to come…
so after i finished signing, it was only 4:00. so i decided to try biking again today. i grabbed my bike and headed up to bike the central park loop again. i decided to take a detour near the 72nd st marker and headed into the band shell. a little pass the mall, i noticed some camera crews and stuff…so i stopped to take a look…see if i can spot any interesting celebrities. i asked someone what they were shooting…and they replied sex and the city. i took off. bleh. after heading out of central park, i made my way back down to union sq and laid out on the south end to watch the street performers. ah…relaxing….

poo…party continuation didnt go thru last nite b/c of the shite weather. so i went out and picked up 2 dvds id been meaning to get instead….animatrix (ok, so it jus came out) and the ah! my goddess movie (id been meaning to get that for a loooooong time).

today was supposed to be partly cloudy but nice…so i decided to go biking. i headed up to central park and immediately went into the loop. 15 minutes into it, i run into a group of a couple thousand puerto ricans. super. i weave my way thru and try and continue biking…only to hit another big mass’o ricans. awesome. for a third of the loop im travelling at a blazing 1 mile an hour. i say fuck it and cut into the inner path to get back over to the east side. more ricans. great. i cut out on 72nd and it takes me another 30 minutes just to get down to the 58th subway. awesome. anyhoo, after i drop my bike off at my apt, i head down to the jasmart on st. marks to get groceries. i of course drop by kims b4 jasmart and woo….they have little match girl! i grab it and continue on my way to jasmart. 3 dvds in one weekend. oh wait…i also ordered the complete .hack//sign collection. make that 3 dvds and a set. see what happens when i dont go drinking?

so im supposed to be at field day right now rockin’ in a field to radiohead and thievery corp, but im not. it got relocated to giant stadium and all the fun got sucked away. poo. so instead im sitting indoors doting around. this weeks been pretty coo tho. i took halfdays twice and left early a number of times b/c me and fonz were apt hunting. the days i took halfdays also happened to be the nicest days…so that was coo. even got some photographing done here and there in union square of the skateboarders.

i got to leave work early (again) yesterday to help with a banquet for the new york chinese culture center in chinatown. lotsa coo performances, and in an unusual and rare occasion, i actually got to eat food. met up with pho at union square afterwards and we headed to swim for drinks and sushi. marisol, alice, and her god-sister valen arrived later after we’d already waxed off 2 rolls and a round of drinks. yum. we hung out, got more sushi and drinks, and then headed home by 1:30ish. pretty early…but theres more partying tonite, so it was kosher. woo.
