look, i did things thursday! no shitting, i actually went out. there was a preview show for the dumbo arts festival<\/a> thursday evening at a friends studio nearby, so we headed over after work to check it out. the newly finished (90% anyway) studio was really nice, with rockin\u2019 panoramas of dumbo and the east river. the artwork featured was um\u2026interesting too. but whatever, the food being served totally rocked. whoever the caterers were, you rock. the asian-style chicken wings\u2026fatty thumbs up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i met up with tien there also, and we headed out to an evite<\/i>\/rock the vote<\/i> party at studio 450<\/i> on the west side. the party was\u2026interesting. swishy pad, black t-shirt clad waiters and waitresses, what we assumed were pr and media people. and free liquor too, thats all that really matters. and we totally rocked the vote\u2026hardcore too. jk, what does that mean? nice views tho. they were also having silent auctions to benefit some foundations, and there was one particular item tien was eyeing\u2026the 14 knicks tickets with a private luxury box at madison square garden. except he couldnt make the date listed\u2026or could he? after checking his phone calendar, he noticed that the listed date was incorrect. january 14th was a friday, not a tuesday as they had dated. after mentioning it to the girl taking the auctions, and then double-checking with my phone calendar, and then tiens checkbook, she goes, \u201cuh oh.<\/i>\u201d either way tien still didnt bid\u2026too bad. we rocked the vote tho\u2026yo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
