{"id":645,"date":"2004-06-04T13:38:08","date_gmt":"2004-06-04T13:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.m3ntalcontraband.com\/?p=645"},"modified":"2020-11-09T10:28:49","modified_gmt":"2020-11-09T15:28:49","slug":"kyle_cooper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/m3ntal.halleytsai.com\/?p=645","title":{"rendered":"kyle cooper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-paragraph\">wired has a coo article today on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/wired\/archive\/12.06\/cooper.html?pg=1&amp;topic=cooper&amp;topic_set=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">kyle cooper<\/a>, the cinematic auteur who doesnt make movies per se, but the lead-in intros and credits to movies. if the name still doesnt ring a bell, the intro to the david finchers <i>se7en<\/i> should\u2026with its grainy scrawled letters and scratched negatives over the nine inch nails track \u201c<i>closer<\/i>\u201c. that was coopers work when he was a part of the design firm r\/ga. other intros cooper has worked on include <i>the mummy<\/i>, mark pellingtons <i>arlington road<\/i>, <i>sphere<\/i>, <i>spawn<\/i>, and <i>dawn of the dead<\/i>. he\u2019s since struck out on his own (again), and is currently working on the intro for the upcoming <i>spider-man 2<\/i>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">after having seen the intro to <i>se7en<\/i> for the first time and deeming it brilliant, id always been interested in coopers work. and it would seem the quality thats associated with cooper is set at a certain level because, well\u2026the article makes cooper out to be a bit of a control freak. referring to why cooper left imaginary forces, the company he founded with two other former r\/ga designers\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">\u201c<i>To be honest, the move was about me just wanting to do my own work,\u201d he says. \u201cPeople stand in line waiting to ask you things. I prefer to execute my own ideas.\u201d Frankfurt has a slightly different spin on the breakup, as he explains in Andrea Codrington\u2019s biography Kyle Cooper. \u201cMore often than not, Kyle is saying, \u2018I know how to make these pieces fit together.
