aicn continues their interview with david goyer<\/a>, talking in-depth about the upcoming blade: trinity<\/i>. goyer brings up alot more info about the movie this time, including more info about the new characters (such of the nightstalkers), as well as the major plotlines. if you werent aware, the top dog of blade: trinity<\/i> is actually none other than the impaler himself\u2026dracula. (i did not know this). goyer goes over their coo mythology for the vampires, and how dracula was the progenitor of the entire race\u2026as well as the basis for many ancient mythologies. very coo reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the second half of the article<\/a> continues with a discussion about how goyer landed the role of directing in the first place. guillermo del toro, who directed the second blade<\/i>, actually took on the job in hopes of helming a movie big enough to land him his dream project\u2026which it eventually did<\/a>. so after blade ii<\/i> was released and guillermo was greenlit for his hellboy<\/i> project, goyer was basically asked to take up the directing chair in his place. director by default\u2026woo. there was also a funny bit about the casting of parker posey, where goyer describes the day she came into the casting call\u2026and had no clue why she wanted to be in a vampire movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026she came in and kind of strutted in\u2026I said, and you can hear me on the tape saying, \u201cWhy the fuck would you want to do this movie?\u201d She said, \u201cI don\u2019t know. Because I want to be a Ghetto Vampire Chick. I want to be a Trailer Park Vampire Chick.\u201d It\u2019s about five minutes of me saying, \u201cYou don\u2019t want to do this movie,\u201d and she\u2019s like, \u201cNo, I really do. I really do. I want to do something different.\u201d I said, \u201cYeah, but you\u2019re just going to make fun of it. You\u2019re not going to take it seriously.\u201d And she said, \u201cNo, no, no, I really want to do it.\u201d She called me twice from New York, and said, \u201cI really want to do it. I\u2019ll be good, I promise. I\u2019ll take it seriously.\u201d<\/i>\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ha\u2026cant trust parker. the article goes on to talk about some of goyers future projects, including the upcoming batman intimidation<\/i> movie being directed by chris nolan. it sounds like the franchise is back in the right hands after being dirtied by the likes of joel schumacher. to quote goyer, \u201cFans will like it. No nipples. No codpieces\u2026<\/i>\u201d \u2026and thats all we ask for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
