{"id":184,"date":"2003-09-13T00:59:21","date_gmt":"2003-09-13T00:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.m3ntalcontraband.com\/?p=184"},"modified":"2020-11-11T14:07:25","modified_gmt":"2020-11-11T19:07:25","slug":"mitsuwa-ing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/m3ntal.halleytsai.com\/?p=184","title":{"rendered":"mitsuwa-ing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-paragraph\"><b>current selection<\/b> | moloko \u2013 <i>sing it back<\/i><br><b>feelin\u2019<\/b> | <i>shower fresh<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">fish is back on his normal work schedule\u2026so no more saturday biking. phoo. we decided to do a friday <i>mitsuwa<\/i> run instead since we hadnt been there in a while. we got there a bit late\u20267:15ish (it closes at 8), so we hit up the supermarket b4 anything else. after grabbing various japanese produce and wandering thru the shops, we tried out the restaurant behind <i>mitsuwa<\/i>\u2026forgot its name. the big temple-like place with spank views of the waterside. tho the various sashimi combinations were $20 and up, everything else was relatively normal priced. yay! we got ika kara-age and a spicy salmon roll for appetizers, and i got tempura soba while fish got sake ochazuke. yum yum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">after din, we looked for a place to coffee and chess, and we ended up at the new <i>panera\u2019s <\/i>in hoboken. woo! ok, first ill refer u to this earlier <a href=\"http:\/\/www.m3ntalcontraband.com\/journal\/archives\/000038.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a> about girls, coffee, and playing chess. so i was having a good game\u2026predicted alot of fish\u2019s strategies and systematically took a 2 pawn lead. then out of nowhere, 2 girls (estimated age\u202610?) came up, look at me a bit strangely, and asked whether the nice soapstone chess board was mine. i gave them a dumbfounded look (my eyes were saying \u201c<i>where is this going?<\/i>\u201c) and then pointed a finger towards fish. they gave an \u201c<i>oh<\/i>\u201d and then walked away. what was that??
