i quite like posting these anime entries.\u00a0 there\u2019s always this rumbling amongst the anime community about how the quality of anime out there has taken a nose-dive.\u00a0 but you know what\u2026i\u2026sorta agree.\u00a0 heh, no really, there\u2019s still too much tits and panties and general retardation out there.\u00a0 but alongside that pile of shit are animes that still rock hard, and definitely deserve attention.\u00a0 as long as they get the recognition and the crotch-shot animes get relegated to bargain-bins, then it\u2019s all good\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

first\u2026a note.\u00a0 i usually follow specific fansub groups each season.\u00a0 and by and large, they\u2019re the ones that really determine what i watch.\u00a0 if they chose an anime that i liked one season, i may stay with them in the hopes that they consistently sub animes that appeal to me.\u00a0 listing a few fansubs off the top of my head\u2026the groups i follow are eclipse, horrible, bss, gg, mazui, doki, and coalguys (when they\/he decides to actually fansub).\u00a0 i lean towards speed-sub groups.\u00a0 tho in these cases, their quality is usually pretty good already\u2026so speed-subbing isn\u2019t an impediment to the quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

anyhoo, last season, i watched:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

baka to test to sh\u014dkanj\u016b<\/b> | surprisingly better than originally anticipated, given that it has one of the stupidest titles.\u00a0 it meanders considerably during the middle of the season (you wonder whether they forgot about their original plot), and too many gags are overused.\u00a0 but still worth a watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

dance in the vampire bund<\/b> | creepy loli (but she\u2019s a vampire and not really a 10 year old!) but another one that turned out better than expected.\u00a0 the first half of the season was sluggish, but the season ended on a high point.\u00a0 the animation takes some getting used to tho.\u00a0 shaft\u2019s style worked for bakemonogatari<\/i>\u2026not so much for action animes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

durarara!!<\/b> | the highlight of last season, durarara<\/i> oozes with style and originality.\u00a0 and for split seconds here and there, you could imagine the characters really inhabiting some hidden corner of ikebukuro.\u00a0 even the \u2018fantasy\u2019 characters are given a real personality.\u00a0 i usually dump past season\u2019s animes from my hard drive to make room for the new season\u2026unless they\u2019re worth keeping. and durarara<\/i> definitely gets classified as \u2018worth keeping\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

edit<\/i>\u2026ha, i didn\u2019t even realize it was ongoing.\u00a0 episode 12 ended so thoroughly, it seemed like the end of the series.\u00a0 bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

fullmetal alchemist<\/b> | dear god episode 52 and still going.\u00a0 not that i\u2019m complaining\u2026this shit is good.\u00a0 i definitely liked the first anime\u2019s \u201cinterpretation\u201d, and having never read the manga, i always wondered why the more devoted fans of the manga decried the changes.\u00a0 but now i understand.\u00a0 it wasn\u2019t that the older anime was necessarily worse than the manga, but the manga\u2019s story was more expansive\u2026it had more stories to tell, and had such a broader scope that the older anime seemed myopic in comparison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ladies vs butlers<\/b> | tits.\u00a0 lots of tits.\u00a0 otherwise meh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

omamori himari<\/b> | yea i watched it, but i didn\u2019t want to. ;p\u00a0 no really\u2026it was bleh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

so ra no wo to<\/b> | the supposed \u201ck-on<\/i> goes to war\u201d anime.\u00a0 the first few episodes bored me stupid, and made me wonder what the shit cutesy moe girls were doing in the goddamn army.\u00a0 i ended up wandering off\u2026anyone else finish up the series?\u00a0 maybe i should revisit this one\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the qwaser of stigmata<\/b> | the infamous tit-sucking anime.\u00a0 i keep reading about it.\u00a0 i\u2019ll admit i\u2019m curious\u2026should i download it?!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to aru kagaku no railgun<\/b> | railgun finished up this season, and it was pretty good.\u00a0 they\u2019ve always been pretty clever how they weaved their stories\u2026small episodes earlier in the season informed later episodes.\u00a0 and by the end of the season, what seemed like individual self-contained stories were in fact just components of the larger picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the new season has already started.\u00a0 i\u2019ve decided to watch the following animes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

angel beats<\/b> | interesting premise\u2026so far it\u2019s kept me fascinated.\u00a0 it\u2019s like a more violent haibane renmei<\/i>\u2026maybe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

arakawa under the bridge<\/b> | quirky\u2026but the lead guy annoys me.\u00a0 i feel urges to kick him in the testicles.\u00a0 but i\u2019ll probably stay with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b gata h kei<\/b> | retarded thus far.\u00a0 but i do allot a few \u201cdumb as shit\u201d animes in my line-up each season.\u00a0 but this categorization shares the same allotments as \u201cjust for tits\u201d animes\u2026and the tits get precedence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

heroman<\/b> | i hadn\u2019t even heard of this anime before, but horrible listed it and i gave it a roll.\u00a0 it was actually created by stan lee (whuuuut), and he even cameos in the first episode.\u00a0 its pretty interesting so far, and it\u2019s animated by bones\u2026and that\u2019s never a bad thing.\u00a0 if anything, it\u2019ll be interesting to see an anime do \u201cslice of life\u201d with an american slant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

k-on s2<\/b> | moe!\u00a0 this and the continuing fullmetal<\/i> and durarara!!<\/i> are probably the headliners for this season, since nothing else seems as interesting\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

mayoi neko overrun!<\/b> | categorized under \u201cpossibly stupid\u201d, the first episode was better than expected.\u00a0 may be relegated to forgettable by the end of the season, but it seems like a potential distraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

working<\/b> | same categorization as the above anime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

here\u2019s to hoping it\u2019ll be a good season\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

edit <\/i>| i don\u2019t know why the shit the video is mirrored, nor why it\u2019s so damn hard to find a non-parody of the durarara<\/i> ending.\u00a0 gah!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
