first and foremost\u2026welcome josie ella to the world!\u00a0 my new niece. ella was my suggestion too.\u00a0 she rocks.\u00a0 niece\u2019s rock, because i get to be a proud uncle without having to deal with the actual parenting.\u00a0 it\u2019s a win-win situation.\u00a0 a concern we\u2019re having at the moment however is, given her older sister\u2019s astonishingly advanced developmental state (i know parents\/uncles\/whatever always say this\u2026but seriously, this is not hyperbole), we\u2019ve postulated that she may in fact turn out to be functionally retarded.\u00a0 or something.\u00a0 too many awesome genes were invested in may.\u00a0 we don\u2019t know what was left for josie.\u00a0 i know\u2026feel the love emanating from her uncle.\u00a0 just kidding, we <3 josie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
REWIND<\/b>
two weekends ago was hot pot at my place with jen di, sarah, and crew.\u00a0 i\u2019m very much liking a semi-regular hot pot to be honest.\u00a0 it\u2019s a social activity that involves everything i love\u2026eating, drinking liquor, and watching movies.\u00a0 we followed this up with thursday noodling at the excellent pork chop house<\/i> with di and em.\u00a0 they\u2019d never been, so i felt like it was my obligation to wise them to the goodness that is taiwanese cuisine.\u00a0 we headed next door after dinner to apotheke<\/i>, which was hilarious considering two drinks cost more than the entirety of our dinner a few feet away.\u00a0 they however did send us free rounds of their mulled wine, called gluwein<\/i>.\u00a0 very soothing.\u00a0 after apotheke<\/i>, we migrated to the whiskey tavern<\/i> to meet up with more people and continue our drinking (with the addition of tater tots).\u00a0 i felt like shit the next morning\u2026it was super.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
