anime musings, part three.\u00a0 i\u2019ve found anime to be a nice weekly distraction now\u2026as long as i watch the episodes in a timely matter that is.\u00a0 most of the time i don\u2019t, so they gather in my \u201cto sort\u201d folder until i watch them all in bulk.\u00a0 still fills a nice niche however for those rainy\/cold\/shitty\/fuck i need to get out more but just can\u2019t be bothered days.<\/p>\n

bakemonogatari<\/b> | odd as hell, but fascinating to watch.\u00a0 there\u2019s\u00a0little action, and alot of exposition\u2026it\u2019s more of a cerebral anime\u00a0dealing with character development than anything.\u00a0 highly experimental\u00a0too.<\/p>\n

darker than black<\/b> | this is actually season 2.\u00a0 i somehow missed season 1, so i just wiki\u2019d it, caught up, and went straight into dtb2.\u00a0 a little confusing at first, but the stories are\u00a0quality.\u00a0 and alot of people die.\u00a0 seriously\u2026don\u2019t get attached to any character that happens to wander onto the screen. they\u2019re likely to get strangled, shot, electrocuted, or eaten alive by cockroaches by\u00a0the end of the episode.<\/p>\n

fullmetal alchemist<\/b> | oh so much\u00a0better than the first fma\u2026which itself deviated greatly from the\u00a0original manga source.\u00a0 this ones more true to the manga source, and it\u00a0pays off.<\/p>\n

haruhi suzumiya<\/b> | great, and disappointing at\u00a0the same time.\u00a0 they wasted too many episodes on the insane endless\u00a0eight arc, which didn\u2019t leave much room to bring in more of the light\u00a0novel stories.\u00a0 blargh\u2026at least there\u2019s the chance of a third season.<\/p>\n

needless\u00a0<\/b>| brainless action, and dragonball-esque fights that take 3 weeks to resolve.\u00a0 it\u2019s surprisingly comedy-oriented however\u2026and there are\u00a0alot of those moments that work. otherwise nothing spectacular.<\/p>\n

queen\u2019s blade<\/b> | seriously\u2026jk.\u00a0 it\u2019s shit.\u00a0 barely televisable hentai.<\/p>\n

the sacred blacksmith\u00a0<\/b>| better known as sacred boobsmith.\u00a0 i gave it a chance, since the animation was top notch (manglobe\u2026who did champloo).\u00a0 but shit are the characters dumb as fuck and the stories pedantic.\u00a0 it\u2019s already been tossed off my hard\u00a0drive.<\/p>\n

to aru kagaku no railgun<\/b> | the majutsu sidestory\u00a0following mikoto instead of toma.\u00a0 thumbs up eh.\u00a0 and i didn\u2019t point it\u00a0out in the older anime roundups, but yea\u2026majutsu\u2019s thumbs up too.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
