{"id":1324,"date":"2009-10-01T15:32:59","date_gmt":"2009-10-01T15:32:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.m3ntalcontraband.com\/?p=1324"},"modified":"2020-11-04T03:23:26","modified_gmt":"2020-11-04T03:23:26","slug":"prague_2009_day03","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/m3ntal.halleytsai.com\/?p=1324","title":{"rendered":"prague 2009 day.03"},"content":{"rendered":"<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/m3ntalcontraband\/albums\/72157622441846654\" title=\"prague 2009\" class=\"text-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/2664\/3948988870_0eabc4a9c3_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" alt=\"prague 2009\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">mashburns in the morn\u2019\u2026yum yum. we decided to do a bit of wandering tuesday. we started at the havelska market for some souvenirs and knick-knacks, and then spent a good deal of time hunting down two modern design stores, <i>modernista<\/i> and <i>kubista<\/i>, which were definitely not where the guides said they were at\u2026blah. but while we were on celetna street, we perused those shops too. i even picked up something for my niece\u2026woot. it\u2019s actually still on my shelf (i blame my sis and her laziness in making plans).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">we headed north after our shopping towards the jewish quarters, but once we got there, we\u00a0didn\u2019t really feel like paying to see the inside of a synagogue. *<i>shrug<\/i>* we wanted to see the old jewish cemetery, but you also had to pay to get into that as well. it must suck for those with family in there hehe. we continued northwards towards the massive metronome on the hill overlooking prague. i read in my guidebooks that the largest statue of joseph stalin used to stand on the spot where the metronome sits now, but it was torn down in the 60\u2019s\u2026too bad. the metronome was interesting tho\u2026and massive. like, really big. we started snapping postcard prague shots once on the the hill, and then we just continued westward, winding thru the massive parklands that eventually connected with the palace gardens of prague castle\u2026convenient!
