{"id":1219,"date":"2008-02-21T13:50:07","date_gmt":"2008-02-21T13:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.m3ntalcontraband.com\/?p=1219"},"modified":"2020-11-04T11:27:25","modified_gmt":"2020-11-04T16:27:25","slug":"i_eat_more_chinese_food_in_ams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/m3ntal.halleytsai.com\/?p=1219","title":{"rendered":"i eat more chinese food in amsterdam than i do in nyc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-paragraph\">gosh thats a long title\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">in other news, the whole studios been working incessantly since i got here (well\u2026not <i>since<\/i>, but well before too), but i did have time to meet up with lysha last friday. i hadnt seen her since, well, since i was last in amsterdam (duh). my coworker gabor joined us too while we hunted for food around chinatown. we ended up at <i>new king<\/i> and ordered ourselves a nice and wholesome chinese dinner. except we ordered 2 dishes with chinese broccoli\u2026oops. we roamed the leidesplein afterwards for some beer, but all the spots were filled up with british tourists\u2026<i>sigh<\/i>. we migrated over to rembrandtplein and settled down in the cafe of <i>escape<\/i> instead, and drank away the rest of the night. ah relaxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-paragraph\">the new animator arrived monday too\u2026tianyi from shanghai. im the unofficial translator, because her english blows. which is funny, because so does my chinese\u2026yay! k its not <i>that<\/i> bad, but i do need to whip out my chinese-english dictionary every so often. and when i say \u201cevery so often\u201d, i mean every other word. we took her to chinatown tuesday just because we blindly assumed being chinese meant she only liked chinese food\u2026ha!
